Hoboken

Hoboken is an awesome little town right across from NYC. Hoboken may be a small town, its nickname is “Mile Square City” …but it’s got big city vibes. Just take a walk down Hoboken’s main drag, Washington Street, and you will find that it’s bustling from sunup to sun down. Hoboken has some of the best views of Manhattan in Hudson County along its waterfront, a great restaurant scene, great shopping and nightlife.


With that said, Hoboken is a family-oriented community. Walking around Hoboken, you run across residents of all kinds from young to old. Hoboken is clean and walkable, great for folks who don’t have cars and easily commutable to New York City.

Hoboken has several convenient modes of transportation, from the PATH, Ferry and Light Rail to the NJ Transit buses and train. Through these options commuters can easily travel to New York City or around New Jersey.

There are a total of 36 schools in Hoboken, between public and private institutions. In addition to its normal curriculum, there are Early Childhood, Special Education and Specialized Programs available to its residents. College-age students in Hoboken benefit from a huge number of colleges and universities nearby. Hoboken is home to the Stevens Institute of Technology, a highly respected private research university.

If you’re looking for fun things to do in Hoboken, this city won’t disappoint. On any day, you can go to the Waterfront Walkway for beautiful views of the Hudson River and New York City. You can also enjoy Pier A Park, which is literally on the water. The nightlife in Hoboken is awesome and vibrant.
